Pristereo is an architecture + design firm focused on residential and small commercial projects based in Marin County, CA. The firm is owned by California licensed architect Zachary Meade.

Zach spent the six years prior to starting Pristereo with Blitz in San Francisco designing workplaces for technology companies in Silicon Valley and abroad. He has designed spaces for Google, Microsoft, Zendesk, Twilio, and others. Zach’s design work has won two International Interior Design Association awards, and has been extensively published. With his commercial experience, Zach is fully fluent in California Building Code requirements and accessibility requirements.

Prior to his time in the Bay Area, Zach practiced at a wide range of international architecture firms in the US, Australia, and New Zealand including Woods Bagot, Hayball, and Athfield Architects. At these firms, Zach worked as a project designer on many residential, commercial, and civic buildings and competitions. Zach also became a BIM specialist during his time abroad, focusing on the forefront of architectural design technologies.

In 2018, Zach started Pristereo with the goal of concentrating on a few projects a year, where he can dedicate his time to learning and mastering his client’s visions, goals, aspirations, and project requirements. Pristereo seeks to create only the most successful and thoughtful work through the careful, considered practice of architecture and design.
